other: The DSC measurements were confirmed by means of TGA measurements (no significant weight reduction below the main weight loss) under the same measuring conditions.

From 259°C the test item shows a boiling and/or thermal decomposition with evaporation of the decomposition components.

The DSC measurements were confirmed by means of TGA measurements (no significant weight reduction below the main weight loss) under the same measuring conditions.

Conclusions:
Under the test conditions, the amides, C12-18(even-numbered) and C18(unsatd.), N-hydroxyethyl shows a boiling point at ca. 259 °C.
Executive summary:

The boiling point of the amides, C12-18 (even-numbered) and C18-unsatd., N-hydroxyethyl was determined in accordance with the OECD Guideline 103 and EU method A.2.

The practical test performance was based on the in-house test procedure VTA(S) 31X93002.02: "Boiling temperature determination (Tb) of solid and liquid substances by means of DSC.

Under the test conditions, the amides, C12 -18 (even-numbered) and C18-unsatd., N-hydroxyethyl shows a boiling point at ca. 259°C.

Description of key information

The boiling point was determined according to OECD Guideline 103 and EU Method A.2 (Kintrup, 2010b).

Key value for chemical safety assessment
