Description of key information

As the test usbstance is a UVCB substance, it is not possible to determine hydrolytic properties.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The method described in the guideline is only applicable for pure substances which are water soluble and for which an analytical method with sufficient accuracy and sensitivity is available. The purity of the test substance should be at least 95 %.

"Resin 835 A" is a mixture of the following substances:

  • Dehydroabietic acid: 53 %(w/w),
  • Dihydroabietic acid: 29 %(w/w),
  • Pimaric acid: 6 %(w/w),
  • Not identified. rosin acids: 5 %(w/w).

Therefore it is not possible to determine hydrolytic properties of the complete test substance (mixture).
