Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Based on data for its four main components, the vapour pressure of the substance EC number 905-559-2 (reaction mass of 4-vinylcyclohexene and cyclohexane and n-hexane and toluene) is expected to be in the range 1.8 kPa to 21 kPa at 21°C to 25°C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

No information on the vapour pressure of the reaction mass is available. However, individual data on the four main components of the reaction mass is available from Zwolinsk et al (2008 a, b and c) for n-hexane (CAS No. 110-54-3) (vapour pressure 20.2.kPa at 25˚C), cyclohexane (CAS No. 110-82-7) (vapour pressure 12.4 kPa at 24˚C), toluene (CAS No. 108-88-3) (vapour pressure 3.08.kPa at 21˚C) and from Lide (2008d) for 4-vinylcyclohexene (CAS No. 100-40-3) (vapour pressure 1.87 kPa at 25˚C). This data is considered reliable and suitable for use.
