Principles of method if other than guideline:
The density of the materials is determined with the Accupyc 1330, manufactured by Micromeritics in 1998. The pycnometer determines density and volume of solids by measuring the pressure change of helium gas in a calibrated volume. Analysis measures sample volume, from which density can be derived when sample weight is known. The measurement is accurate within 0.03% and the optional sample range is 1-100 cm3. Reproducibility is guaranteed to within 0.02% of the nominal full-scale volume on clean, dry, thermally equilibrated samples /2/. This measurement is congruent with OECD 109 - A.3 (1.4.3) (relative density).
