Description of key information

In accordance with Annex 1 to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008, reaction mass of DIPE and 2-methylpent-2-ene is classified as highly flammable, H225.
Based on experimental results, the test item reaction mass of DIPE and 2-methylpent-2-ene is classified as not flammable in contact with water.

Additional information

In accordance to the Technical Guidance on Information Requirements / CSA, section 7.1.10, the flammability of liquids is primarily defined by the flash point of the substance. According to the flash point and boiling point of reaction mass of DIPE and 2-methylpent-2-ene,

the test item is highly flammable.

Justification for classification or non-classification

In accordance with Annex 1 to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008, reaction mass of DIPE and 2-methylpent-2-ene

is classified as highly flammable, H225 based on its flash point and boiling point.

Based on experimental results, the test item reaction mass of DIPE and 2-methylpent-2-ene

is classified as not flammable in contact with water.
