First-aid measures

Health effects:

Eye contact:

- Immediately flush eyes with running water for at least 15 minutes, keeping eyelids open. Cold water may be used. Seek medical attention.

Skin contact:

- After contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of water. Gently and thoroughly wash the contaminated skin with running water and non-abrasive soap.

Ingestion:      

- Avoid ingestion. In case of ingestion, drink few glasses of water, induce vomiting and seek medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing medium:

- According to materials stored. Do not use water jet.

Others:

- Non- flammable material.

Accidental release measures

Person-related precautionary measures:

- Do not inhale dusts.

Procedures for clearing/ absorption:

- Take up. Forward for disposal. Clean up affected area.

Handling and storage

Handling:

- Keep away from heat, sources of ignition, and combustible materials.

Storage:

- Tightly closed. Storage temperature: from  -10 °C  to +30 °C.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Personal protective equipment:

- Protective clothing should be selected specifically for the working place, depending on concentration and quantity of the hazardous substances handled. The resistance of the protective clothing to chemicals should be ascertained with the respective supplier.

Respiratory protection:

- Required when aerosol are generated.

- The protective gloves to be used must comply with the specifications of  EC directive 89/686/EEC.

Industrial hygiene:

- Change contaminated clothing. Application of skin-protective barrier cream recommended. Wash hands after working with substance.

- In the event of fire, nitrogen oxides and carbon oxides may occur.

Disposal considerations

Packaging:
