The thermodynamic calculations presented above indicate that the heat of decomposition and the comparison to the heat of combustion does not necessitate explosivity to be expected. However, the value for the oxygen balance (-156%) in combination with the presence of groups which are able to contribute to the explosive properties gives any doubt. Finally, the results of a DSC measurement were consulted and indicated the material as having no potential to possess explosive properties.

In conclusion, structural aspects, estimated thermodynamic properties and a DSC screening procedure indicate that Naringin DHC must not be considered to have explosive properties.
