Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

First-aid measures

Skin contact: Use appropriate personal protective equipment to prevent contact. Remove contaminated clothing and flush exposed area with copious amounts of water. Obtain medical attention as irritaion/skin reaction may be delayed. Ensure contaminated clothing is thoroughly cleaned or bagged up for disposal by incineration.
Eye contact: Wash eye immediately with gently flowing water for at least 15 minutes. Obtain medical attention.
Inhalation: Move subject to fresh air whilst maintining ones own safety. Keep warm and at rest. Administer oxygen if necessary. Obtain medical attention.
Ingestion: Never induce vomiting. Wash out mouth with water. Obtain medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing media: Carbon dioxide, dry powder or foam.
Personal protection: Do not take action without self contained breathing apparatus and full protective equipment.
Fire and explosion: fire and explosions may occurs if vapours are allowed to accumulate.
Hazardous combustion products: Toxic, corrosive or flammable thermal decomposition products, which may include chlorine and sulphur compounds, are expected when the material is exposed to fire.

Accidental release measures

Stop leak and eliminate all sources of ignition. Evacuate the area. Mark out contaminated area with signs and prevent access to unauthorised personnel. Absorb onto inert material such and sand or earth and transfer to labelled closable containers for disposal, preferrably by incineration, via authorised waste disposal company. Wash down spillage site after complete pick up of material with large amounts of water.

Handling and storage

Ensure there is sufficient ventilation of the area. Store in cool dry area. Keep containers tightly sealed. Airhood, airsuit or contained breathing apparatus should be worn wear sufficient ventilation is not available or potential to generate dust/vapour is high.

Disposal considerations

Collect for recycling or recovery where possible. The recommended method of disposal is incineretion via an on-site licenced incinerator or licenced commercial chemical incinerator.
Observe all local and national regulations when disposing of this material.
