According to Column 2 of Table 7 in Annex VII of REACH regarding the vapour pressure of a substance, if the melting point is between 200°C and 300°C, a limit value based on measurement or a recognised calculation method is sufficient. The melting point of the substance is between 231-233 C so a vapour pressure measurement test is not required.
Most of the recognised calculation methods (e.g. Clausius-Klapeyron equation, Antoine equation) require the boiling point of the substance along with a set of parameters specific to the substance in question. The boiling point of the substance could not be determined because it was found that it decomposes before boiling. As such, use of one of those equations is not feasible. Therefore, it was not possible to calculate the Vapour Pressure of the substance.
