First-aid measures

- In case of skin contact: Wash with plenty of water and soap.

- In case of eye contact: rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.

- In case of Ingestion: do not under any circumstances induce vomiting. OBTAIN A MEDICAL EXAMINATION IMMEDIATELY.

- In case of Inhalation: remove casualty to fresh air and keep warm and at rest.

Fire-fighting measures

- Suitable extinguishing media: water, Carbon dioxide (CO2).

- Extinguishing media which must not be used for safety reasons: none in particular.

- Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture: Do not inhale explosion and combustion gases. Burning produces heavy smoke.

- Advice for firefighters: Use suitable breathing apparatus, collect contaminated fire extinguishing water separately. This must not be discharged into drains. Move undamaged containers from immediate hazard area if it can be done safely.

Accidental release measures

- Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures: Wear personal protection equipment. Remove persons to safety.

- Environmental precautions: Do not allow to enter into soil/subsoil. Do not allow to enter into surface water or drains. Retain contaminated washing water and dispose it. In case of gas escape or of entry into waterways, soil or drains, inform the responsible authorities. Suitable material for taking up: absorbing material, organic, sand.

- Methods and material for containment and cleaning up: Wash with plenty of water.

Handling and storage

- Precautions for safe handling: Avoid contact with skin and eyes, inhalation of dust and aerosols. Provide appropriate exhaust ventilation at places where dust is formed. Don't use empty container before they have been cleaned. Before making transfer operations, assure that there aren't any incompatible material residuals in the containers. Contamined clothing should be changed before entering eating areas. Do not eat or drink while working. Wear recommended protective equipment.

- Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities: Keep away from food, drink and feed. Incompatible materials: none in particular. Instructions as regards storage premises: Adequately ventilated premises.

Exposure controls / personal protection

- Hand protection: Chemical resistant gloves (according to European standard NF EN 374 or equivalent).

- Body protection: Wear suitable protective clothing. In case of repeated or prolonged exposure: Fully enclosed impervious protective suit with integral or tight-fitting gloves, boots, self-contained or supplied air respirator must be worn.

- Eye protection: Wear tight fitting safety glasses or facial screen. Emergency eye wash fountains should be available in the immediate vicinity of any potential exposure.

- Respiratory protection: Provide good ventilation in process area to prevent formation of vapour. In case of insufficient ventilation, wear suitable respiratory equipment. Gas mask with filter type A2B2.

Stability and reactivity

1. Reactivity

. Stable under normal conditions

2. Chemical stability

. Stable under normal conditions

3. Possibility of hazardous reactions

. It may generate flammable gases on contact with caustic substances, and nitrides. It may generate toxic gases on contact with mineral acids, aliphatic and aromatic amines, and powerful oxidising agents. It may catch fire on contact with oxidising mineral acids, and elementary metals (sheets and bars).

4. Conditions to avoid

. Stable under normal conditions.

5. Incompatible materials

. None in particular.

6. Hazardous decomposition products. None.

Disposal considerations

Waste treatment methods: Recover if possible. In so doing, comply with the local and national regulations currently in force.
