A Mould 250mm long with a triangular cross section of inner height 10mm and width 20mm is used to form the train for the burning rate test. On both sides of the mould, in the longitudinal direction, two metal sheets are mounted as lateral limitations which extend 2mm beyond the upper edge of the triangular cross section. An impervious, non combustible, low heat conducting plate is used to support the sample train.

In accordance with BMS Hazard assessment for Classification, the substance is not a desensitised explosive, It is not self-reactive and does not contain chemical groups associated with explosive or self-reactive properties. The Decomposition energy is less that 300J/g in the Differential Scanning Calorimetry test. The substance is not readily combustible by UN N.1 screening test.
