Administrative data

First-aid measures

Eye Contact:Rinse thoroughly with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes and consult a physician.

Skin Contact:Wash off immediately with soap and plenty of water removing all contaminated clothes and

shoes

Ingestion:Clean mouth with water, only if the person is in conscious. Get medical attention.

Inhalation: If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. Remove from

exposure, lie down.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable Extinguishing Media: Carbon dioxide (CO2). Dry powder. Foam. Water spray.

Unsuitable extinguishing media:No information available.

Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture: Combustible material. Thermal decomposition can lead to release of irritating gases and vapors.

Special protective equipment for firefighters: As in any fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus pressure-demand, MSHA/NIOSH (approved or equivalent) and full protective gear.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures: Avoid contact with dusts/fumes/mists/vapors. Use personal protective equipment.

Environmental precautions:Prevent further leakage or spillage if safe to do so. Prevent entry into waterways, sewers, basements or confined areas.

Methods and materials for containment and cleaning up

Contain spillage, and then collect with non-combustible absorbent material, (e.g. sand, earth, diatomaceous earth, vermiculite) and

place in container for disposal according to local / national regulations (see section 13). If emergency, enforce internal emergency

plan.

Handling and storage

Handling:Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Do not breathe

vapors/dust. Provide appropriate exhaust ventilation at places where dust is formed.

Hygiene Measures:Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice.

Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities: Keep container tightly closed. Protect from light. Keep in a dry place. Keep at temperatures between 2°C and 8°C.
