Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The substance precipitates in water and from organic solution coming in contact with water. Comparing the IR-spectrum of the dried precipitate with the original test item, no differences could be observed. Therefore it can be concluded that the substance is stable towards hydrolysis.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Preliminary tests for defining the analytical parameters which should be applied for the hydrolysis tests revealed that the test substance was not sufficiently soluble in water. No suitable analytical method could be developed to observe a hydrolysis test. Therefore no hydrolysis test according to OECD TG 111 could be performed. The substance precipitates in water (<0.006 mol/l) and from an organic solution (tetrahydrofurane, 1,4-dioxan; approx. 0.08 mmol/l (approx. 140 mg/l)) coming in contact with water. The dried precipitate shows the same IR-spectrum as the original test item. Therefore no hydrolysis or decomposition occurs during precipitation.
