The measurements in aluminium crucibles with a hole showed an endothermic effect in the temperature range 110 - 140 °C (melting). Another endothermic effect (boiling) was observed in the temperature range 350 - 445 °C with an onset temperature of 412 to 432 °C.


In the temperature range > 410 °C in which the boiling of the test item was observed, the test item already started to decompose. From this it was concluded, that the test item boils under decomposition.


To verify this result additional experiments with the capillary method were performed. Due to the maximum temperature limit of the equipment the measurement was terminated at 410 °C. The test item was dark brown after the measurement. The results of this test, confirmed, that the test item decomposes in the temperature range 380 - > 400 °C as seen in the DSC measurement.


According to the results of both methods a boiling point / range > 410 °C under decomposition will be given as final result.

Conclusions:
The test item boils under decomposition above 410 °C.
