Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The acute toxicity of (2-Ethoxy-1-methyl-2-oxoethyl)-5-[2-chloro-4-(trifluoromethyl) phenoxy]-2-nitrobenzoate to Daphnia magna STRAUS was studied under semi-static conditions in accordance with the OECD Guideline for Testing of Chemicals No. 202 'Daphnia sp., Acute Immobilisation Test' (adopted April 13, 2004) which is in most parts equivalent to the EEC Methods for Determination of Ecotoxicity Annex to Directive 92/69/EEC (O.J. No. L383A, 29.12.92) Part C, Method 2 'Acute toxicity for Daphnia'. Under semi-static test conditions, the invertebrates were exposed to a range of concentrations, nominally 0.25, 0.5 and 1 mg/L of (2-Ethoxy-1-methyl-2-oxoethyl)-5-[2-chloro-4-(trifluoromethyl) phenoxy]-2-nitrobenzoate in water. The swimming ability and the immobilization after 24 and 48 hours of exposure were determined. The EC50was > 0.007 mg/L for 24 h and > 0.003 mg/L for 48 h incubations. No effect on Daphnids was observed at any concentration including the highest concentrations achievable.
