Description of key information

The water solubility of the lithium, cobalt, nickel and manganese content of the test material was determined to be 0.143, 0.0122, 0.0182 and 0.020 mg/L of solution, at 20.0 ± 0.5 °C, respectively, EU Method A.6, O'Connor & Woolley (2007).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Water solubility:
0.143 mg/L
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

The water solubility of the test material was investigated in a study which was conducted under GLP conditions and in accordance with the standardised guideline EU Method A.6, following the flask method.

During the study, samples of test material were shaken at approximately 30 °C for up to 72 hours. The sample solutions were left to stand for 24 hours before duplicate aliquots were withdrawn and analysed for constituent metal content by ICP-OES.

Under the conditions of the study, the water solubility of the lithium, cobalt, nickel and manganese content of the test material was determined to be 0.143, 0.0122, 0.0182 and 0.020 mg/L of solution, at 20.0 ± 0.5 °C, respectively.
