Guidance on Safe Use

First-aid measures

- General advice: First Aid responders should pay attention to self-protection and use the recommended protective clothing (chemical resistant gloves, splash protection)
- Eye contact: Flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 min.
- Skin contact: Remove residues with soap and water. Remove contaminated
clothing.
- Inhalation: Move person to fresh air; if effects occur consult a physician.
- Ingestion: Get medical attention if symptoms occur.

Fire-fighting measures

- Extinguishing agent: Water fog or fine spray.

In the case of handling in open systems, any dust that can form must be extracted directly at the point of origin. If technical extraction or ventilation measures are not possible or are insufficient, respiratory protection must be worn. To avoid skin contact, tested protective gloves and, if applicable, suitable protective clothing must be worn. The wearing of safe eye protection is recommended. Adequate washing facilities should be available in the immediate vicinity of the work area. After skin contact, the affected parts of the skin should be cleaned thoroughly using. Contaminated clothing must be changed immediately. Special skin-protection and skin-care measures are recommended. A skin-protection plan should be drawn up. Keep containers tightly closed, dry, avoid moisture and secure by suitable measures against falling down.
