Registration Dossier

Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data

First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. If respiratory symptoms appear, seek

medical attention. If not breathing, administer artificial

respivration.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Wash with water for 15 minutes, including under eyelids. If

irritation is apparent, seek medical attention.

Emergency measure - Skin: Wash skin thoroughly with soap and water.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Carbon dioxide, dry chemical, foam, water fog

Product arising from burning: Oxides of carbon and some soot.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Full protection by suitable clothing and positive pressure

breathing apparatus.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Wear suitable protective clothing and eliminate all ignition

sources. Absorb liquids on absorbent material (e.g.

vermiculite) and transfer to suitable containers for

disposal by incineration. Wash down contaminated areas with

plenty of water, using containment to avoid washings

reaching drains or surface waters.

Handling and storage

Handling: Protective clothing, goggles or safety glasses and gloves

should be worn when working with the material. Nitrile or

other appropriate, solvent-resistant gloves should be worn,

together with respiratory protection, when working with

solutions of polymer in organic solvent.

Storage: Store at ambient temperature, protected from moisture.

Commercial preparation in solvent should be stored only in

well-ventilated areas away from oxidising agents or ignition

sources (including static discharges).

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Sealed, unbreakable containers

Stability and reactivity

Danger other than fire: None known

Chemical reaction with water: None known

Dust explosion: None expected. Even in when isolated from solvent solution

the solid/semi-solid polymer is resinous and does not

generate mobile particles likely to create dust.

Dust explosion determined by test: N

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: None known

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Disposal in authorised landfill sites is possible.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Preferred method.  Mix with other combustibles and

incinerate.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended

Industry - Possibility of destruction - other: None known

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Not applicable: no sale to the public is planned.
