First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Symptomatic treatment. Bring affected persons outside in
fresh air. In case of indisposition, seek medical attention.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water.

Rinse eyes thoroughly with water for 10 minutes. Open
eyelids forcibly. Seek medical advice.
Emergency measure - Skin: Remove contaminated clothes immediately. Rinse skin with
soap and plenty of water. If skin irritation persists,
consult a physician.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Symptomatic treatment. In case of indisposition, seek
medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: All, e.g. carbon dioxide, dry powder, foam or water may

be used.

Product arising from burning: Carbon oxides, nitrogen oxides, water.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Wear full protective clothing and self-containing
respiratory protection.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Prevent entry of spills into sewers. Exclude unprotected
persons from area of spill. Recover spilled material
mechanically and transfer it into clean and dry containers
for disposal.

In case of a spillage the employees concerned wear personal
protective equipment as described in section 2.3.10.

All collected chemicals and the contaminated adsorbents are
packed in labeled containers and disposed of by incineration
in accordance with local regulations.

At the site a fire brigade is available which is approved by
the authority.

Handling and storage

Handling: Avoid formation of dust and use local exhaust ventilation.
Do not inhale dust. Use breathing apparatus with particle
filter P2 in case of inadequate ventilation or heavy
exposure.

Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Wear suitable gloves
(rubber or PVC), safety goggles and dustproof protective
clothing.

Safety goggles with side protection are required.

Consider danger of dust explosion. Remove residues outside
containers at regularly. Take suitable precautionary
measures against static charges.

Do not eat, drink or smoke in the working area. Wash hands
before breaks and after work. Immediately remove
contaminated clothing.

Storage: Store in a dry and cool place. Store in closed and
unbreakable containers, secured from falling down. Avoid
residues outside containers. Label containers appropriately.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Metal drums, 200 kg.
