The determination of the flash point of the test item was performed in accordance with the EEC directive 92/69, Part A, Methods for the determination of physico-chemical properties, A. 9 "Flash Point", EEC Publication No. L383, December 1992.

Due to potential polymerisation of the test item, a heating test was performed in a beaker prior to the preliminary test.

In the preliminary test a clear flash point was observed at a test item temperature of 118 deg C. Therefore, the main test was also performed in duplicate. A clear flash point was twice observed at a test item temperature of 118 deg C. The mean value was calculated to be 118 deg C at the actual atmospheric pressure of 99.0 kPa.

After correction for the atmospheric pressure, the flash point of 2 -(2 -Vinyloxyethoxy)ethyl acrylate was determined to be 118.6 deg C at 101.3kPa using the Pensky-Martens flash point apparatus.

Interpretation of results:
GHS criteria not met
Conclusions:
After correction for the atmospheric pressure, the flash point of 2 -(2 -Vinyloxyethoxy)ethyl acrylate was determined to be 118.6 deg C at 101.3kPa
Executive summary:

The flash point was carried out according to the A.9 guideline under the EEC Directive 92/69. After correction for the atmospheric pressure, the flash point of 2 -(2 -Vinyloxyethoxy)ethyl acrylate was determined to be 118.6 deg C at 101.3kPa.
