Acute effects of TS-ED 532 were observed at all test concentrations from 0.08 to 180 mg/L at 48 h.
Chemical analyses of the test concentrations showed a decline during the test period, which is likely to be caused by adhesion of T-ED 532 onto the daphnids and the test vessels.
The EC50 value (48 h) of 0.92 mg/l was several magnitudes higher than the estimated solubility concentration of 2x10-4 mg/L.
The test substance is not considered to be systemically toxic at the solubility concentration based on the idea that the effects on mobility was a physical effect of the non-dissolved test substance rather than a systemic effect.

The 48-hour acute toxicity of TS-ED 532 to Daphnia magna Straus was examined in accordance with OECD Guideline for Testing of Chemicals 202. Based on OECD 202, TS-ED 532 was tested as an emulsion prepared by blending with Ultra Turrax high speed stirring/emulsification equipment at 20,500 rpm for 2 minutes. The concentrations achieved exceeded the solubility of the test substance based on a water solubility estimate of 2x10-4 mg/L based on probit analysis using the measured concentrations. The test substance is not considered to be systemically toxic at the solubility concentration based on the idea that the effects on mobility was a physical effect of the non-dissolved test substance rather than a systemic effect.
