- Sampling method:Water samples were taken from the control and all surviving test groups at 0,24 (old media), and 96 hours (old media) for quantitative analysis.
- Sample storage conditions before analysis: Duplicate samples and samples at 24 (fresh media), 48 and 72 hours (fresh and old media) were
taken and stored frozen (approximately -20DC) for further analysis if necessary.
Details on test solutions:

- Health during acclimation (any mortality observed): ca 1% mortality in 7 days period

QUARANTINE (wild caught)
- Duration:
- Health/mortality:
Test type:
semi-static
Water media type:
freshwater
Hardness:
100 mg CaCO3/L
Test temperature:

pH:
7.6 - 8.1
Dissolved oxygen:
9.3 - 9.8 mg O2/L
Salinity:

Nominal and measured concentrations:
Analysis of the test solutions at 0, 24 and 96 hours showed the measured test concentrations to be below the limit of quantitation of the analytical method. These results were in-line with pre-study recovery analysis performed on filtered WAFs at a loading rate of 1000 mg/I which also showed measured test concentrations of below the limit of quantitation of the analytical method.

Conclusions:
The acute toxicity of the test material to the freshwater fish rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) has been investigated and gave a 96-Hour LLso* value of 400 mg/I loading rate filtered WAF with 95% confidence limits of 360 - 450 mg/l loading rate filtered WAF. The No Observed Effect Loading rate
was 180 mg/I loading rate filtered WAF.
