Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

TFSIH is not considered to be inherently biodegradable.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
inherently biodegradable, not fulfilling specific criteria

Additional information

No degradation studies are available for TFSIH. Therefore, information from the structural analog TFSILi was used to evaluate the possible degradation of TFSIH.

Justification for read-accross: TFSILi is salt of TFSIH, so the basis chemical structure is the same.

Regarding physico-chemical properties both products show the same range of data: high water solubility, log kow, low vapour presure . . .

OTHER PROPERTIES (if relevant for this endpoint)

- Adsorption characteristics: low potential of adsorption based on log kow

- Toxicity to aquatic organisms: Not harmful to daphnids and algae

Finally, toxicity on aquatic organisms is the same. Both products are not harmful to daphnids and algae.

There is adequacy assessment for the regulatory purposes of REACH.
