Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Move to fresh air.  Treat symptomatically.  Get medical

attention if symptoms occur.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Any material that is in the eye should be washed out

immediately with water.  Get medical attention if symptoms

occur.

Emergency measure - Skin: After contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of

soap and water.  Get medical attention if symptoms occur.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical advice immediately.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Use appropriate agent for adjacent fire.  Hazchem code 2Z.

Product arising from burning: Combustion will produce carbon dioxide and probably carbon

monoxide.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Fog or spray extinguishing media and breathing apparatus.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Collect up and put in suitable container.  Avoid generation

of dust.  Clean surface thorougly to remove residual

contamination.

Handling and storage

Handling: Personal Precautionary Measures:  Avoid breathing dust.

Avoid contact with eyes, skin, and clothing.  Use with

adequate ventilation.  Wash thoroughly after handling.

Ventilation:  Good general ventilation of 10 or more room

volumes per hour in a work area is recommended.  Match

ventilation rates to conditions of use.  Supplementary local

exhaust ventilation, closed systems, or respiratory

protection may be needed in special circumstances such as

poorly ventilated spaces, mechanical generation of dusts,

heating, drying, etc.

Respiratory Protection:  In case of insufficient

ventilation, wear suitable respiratory equipment. Respirator

type:  Dust.

Eye Protection:  It is a good industrial hygiene practice to

minimize eye contact.  Wear safety glasses with side shields

(or goggles).

Skin Protection:  Wear impervious gloves and protective

clothing appropriate for the risk of exposure.

Recommended Decontamination Facilities:  Eye bath, washing

facilities, safety shower.

Storage: Keep container closed.  Cool conditions (5-30 degrees C).

Keep away from sources of ignition.  Keep from contact with

strong oxidizing materials.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: The substance will be imported in sealed, polyethylene-lined

fiber containers.

Stability and reactivity

Danger other than fire: Powdered material may from explosive dust-air mixtures.

Chemical reaction with water: None known

Dust explosion: Powdered material may form explosive dust-air mixtures.

Minimize dust generation and accumulation.
