First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Obtain medical attention if ill effects occur.

Remove patient from exposure.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Immediately irrigate with eyewash solution or clean water,

holding the eyelids apart, for at least 15 minutes.

Obtain medical attention.

Emergency measure - Skin: Remove contaminated clothing.

Wash skin with soap and water.

If irritation or blistering occur obtain medical attention.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: If swallowed seek medical advice immediately and show the

container, label or the Data Sheet, if possible.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Foam, CO2 or dry powder.

Water spray should be used to cool containers.

Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain oxides of carbon together

with nitrogen oxides, hydrogen fluoride and soot.

Protective equipment: A self contained breathing apparatus and full protective

clothing should be worn in fire conditions.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Keep away from sources of ignition - No Smoking.

Ensure suitable personal protection (including respiratory

protection) during removal of spillages.

Sweep up and shovel into waste drums or plastic bags.

Collect using a high efficiency vacuum cleaner.

Spillages or uncontrolled discharges into watercourses must

be alerted to the Environment Agency or other appropriate

regulatory body.

Disposal should be in accordance with local, state or

national legislation.

Handling and storage

Handling: Avoid contact with skin and eyes.

Avoid inhalation of dust.

Atmospheric levels shoud be controlled using the principles

of good occupational hygiene practice.

Take precautionary measures against static discharges.

place.

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Not possible. The substance is chemically bound to the

polymer.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: The substance may be disposed of by incineration above 1100

degC by burning under controlled conditions at a licenced

waste treatment facility, in accordance with local and

national regulations. Stack gases should be scrubbed to

eliminate nitrogen oxides and hydrogen fluoride.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - other: Recycling for purification and subsequent use is the

preferred method.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance will not enter the public domain.
