Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Determination of the ready biodegradability of FAT 41024/B.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
under test conditions no biodegradation observed

Additional information

The ready biodegradability experiment was performed with FAT 41024/B according to the OECD Guideline 301 F (Ready Biodegradability: Manometric Respirometry Test) in two different laboratories. In both reports the following results were determined:

After 28 days exposure duration, there were no biodegradation observed of FAT 41024/B.

After 28 days exposure time, the readily biodegradation was 0%.

In the key study, performed in NOVARTIS, the BOD (Biochemical Oxygen Demand ) was also determined

The Biochemical Oxygen Demand was found to be 20 mg O2/g.

The chemical Oxygen demand was also determined in an other experiment performed according to EU Method C.6.

COD was found to be 1272 mg O2/g test mat.
