The ready biodegradability, the Chemical Oxygen Demand and the Biochemical Oxygen Demand where determined for FAT 41024/B.

After 28 days exposure duration, there were no biodegradation.

After 28 days exposure time, the readily biodegradation was 0%.

BOD5= 20 mg O2/ g.

COD= 1272 mg O2/g test mat.

The hydrolysis experiment of FAT 41024/B was not performed. Due to experimental difficulties and to the special properties of the test item, it was decided not to perform the experimental hydrolysis test.

In accordance with REACH Annex VIII column 2, the study does not need to be conducted if the substance is readily biodegradable or highly insoluble in water.

An estimation of the adsorption/desoprtion coefficient was performed based on the octanol/water partition coefficient of log Pow > 3.1 (RCC Project 716344) using a regression equation (source as above) relating the Koc with Pow.

It resulted a Koc value of 1157 confirming that FAT 41024/B is at least only little mobile in soils.
