Additional information

FAT 41024 /B is a solid black powder at 20°C. The vapor pressure was estimated to be 2.78.E-13 Pa at 25°C based on the boiling point calculated and using Modified Watson Correlation.

The boiling point was determined on batch A (FAT 41024 /A TE) and decomposed at approximately 200 °C (473 K) at 101.0 kPa. As the test item decomposed, no value for boiling temperature could be determined.

FAT 41024/B is neither highly flammable nor explosive or oxidizing. The auto-flammability was not determined as FAT 41024/B is not auto-flammable. The water solubility was determined to be below the limit of detection which is < 0.051 mg/l using the column elution method. The melting point of FAT 41024/B was determined using the differential thermal calorimeter to be 152.8 °C± 0.5 °C which is equal to 426.0 K ± 0.5 K. As the test item decomposed at approximately 200°C, no value for boiling temperature could be determined. The partition coefficient log Pow was determined to be 4.59 using HPLC method. The density was determined to be 1.436 g/cm3 (=1.436.E 3 kg/m3 at 20.1 °C using a gas comparison pycnometer. The surface tension is determined to be 72 mN/m at 19.7°C, FAT 41024/B should not be regarded as a surface active substance.

Regarding the particle size endpoint, it could be stated that about <2.3 wt% of the particles in FAT 41024/B showed a particle size lower than 10 microm. About 50 wt% of FAT 41024/B were determined by sieve analysis to be smaller than about 26 microm. (median mass diameter). FAT 41024/B is not dissociated or protonated in the environmentally relevant pH range.
