Endpoint:
oxidising solids
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the organic substance does not contain oxygen or halogen atoms and hence, the classification procedure does not need to be applied
Endpoint:
oxidising gases
Data waiving:
study technically not feasible
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is a solid
Endpoint:
oxidising liquids
Data waiving:
study technically not feasible
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is a solid

Description of key information

The test item has not to be classified as oxidising solid, oxidising liquid or oxidising gas.

.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Oxidising properties:
non oxidising

Additional information

Oxidising gases (reference 4.15-2)

The test item is a solid at ambient conditions. This hazard class is only applicable for gases. Thus, the substance was not considered for classification as oxidising gases.

Oxidising solids (reference 4.15-1)

In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex VII, a study on oxidising properties does not need to be conducted as there are no chemical groups associated with oxidising properties in the molecule (e.g. the organic substance does not contain oxygen or halogen atoms.

Oxidising liquids (reference 4.15-3)

The test item is a solid at ambient conditions. This hazard class is only applicable for liquids. Thus, the substance was not considered for classification as oxidising liquid.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Classification, Labelling, and Packaging Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008

Based on the chemical structure and taking into account the provisions laid down in Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008, as amended for the twelfth time in Regulation (EU) 2019/521, the substance is not considered to be classified for oxidising properties.
