First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove to fresh air, rinse mouth with water and keep patient
at rest.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Immediately wash eye with running water for fifteen minutes.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash affected areas well with soap and water.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: If swallowed, give water or milk to drink. Seek immediate
medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Water, foam, carbon dioxide, dry chemical.
Product arising from burning: Carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxide, water,
hydrogen fluoride, zinc oxide, sulphur dioxide.
Protective equipment: Suitable protective clothing and self-contained breathing
apparatus.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Wear protection to avoid excessive contact. Spills should
swept up into suitable containers to prevent dispersion of
dust. The remainder should be wiped up with a damp cloth.
The containers and cloths should then be disposed by
incineration.
Handling and storage
Handling: Wear respirator approved for use with dusts. Wear
protective gloves to prevent skin contact. Use safety
glasses. Wear suitable working clothes and rubber boots.
Storage: Keep in closed containers in order to prevent dispersion of
dust. Store indoors at room temperature in the dark.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: 250g polythene container in corrugated cardboard.
