First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: - Move exposed person to fresh air. If symptoms develop,

seek medical advice.

Emergency measure - Eyes: - Immediately flush thoroughly with water for at least 15

minutes. If symptoms develop, seek medical advice.

Emergency measure - Skin: - Immediately wash with water for at least 15 minutes. If

symptoms develop, seek medical advice.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: - Drink 1 or 2 glasses of water (250-500ml) and seek medical

advice.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: - Water, dry powder, foam, carbon dioxide.

Product arising from burning: - CO, CO2, NOx.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: - Wear self-contained breathing apparatus.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: - Wear protective clothing (dust mask, safety goggles and

impermeable gloves).

Solids:  Sweep up (wet powders with water) and place in

suitable containers for disposal.

Liquids: Absorb using a suitable absorbent (eg. kiesel-

guhr, sand, sawdust, kieselgel), collect and

place in suitable containers for disposal.

Dispose of waste material in authorised incineration

facility.

Handling and storage

Handling: - Handle in enclosed or contained process equipment with

effective local exhaust ventilation. Wear safety glasses,

(to B.S. 2092-2 standard) rubber (latex) gloves

and disposable suits to minimize potential for eye,

skin and respiratory exposure. If process creates

dusty conditions, appropriate half-masks or

air-line respirators will be worn.

Storage: - The substance should be stored in sealed and secure poly-

lined fiberboard containers that meet the international

shipping standards and regulations. The substance will be

stored in a warehouse or equivalent that meets current

fire protection standards and will be at room temperature.

Dust residue on outside of containers should be avoided,

if necessary the container may be swabbed with a damp

cloth to remove any traces of dust before storage.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: - A range of 50 kg to 100 kg of substance may be packed in
