First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove patient from exposure, symptomatic treatment.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse immediately with eyewash solution or water for at

least 10 minutes. Continue irrigation until medical

attention can be obtained.

Emergency measure - Skin: Take off immediately all contaminated clothing.

Wash skin immediately with plenty of soap and water.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water spray, foam, dry powder or carbon dioxide may be used.

Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain oxides of carbon and

nitrogen and some soot.

Protective equipment: A self-contained breathing apparatus and suitable protective

clothing must be worn.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Wear suitable protective clothing (see 2.3.1). Adsorb

spillages onto sand, earth or any suitable adsorbent

material. Transfer to a suitable container and dispose of at

a licensed landfill in accordance with local regulations.

Wash the spillage area with water. Spillages or uncontrolled

discharges into water courses must be alerted to the

appropriate authorities (National Rivers Authority in UK).

Handling and storage

Handling: Use only in well ventilated areas. Avoid contact with skin

and eyes. Avoid inhalation of high concentrations of

vapour/mist. Avoid release to the environment. Gloves,

safety goggles and a respirator should be worn. Obtain

special instructions before use.

Storage: Store in tightly closed containers.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: UN-approved 60 litre composite drums.
