First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove patient to fresh air. Symptomatic treatment.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse immediately with plenty of water for at least 15

minutes. Seek medical advice.

Emergency measure - Skin: Wash thoroughly with soap and water.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek immediate medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water, foam, carbon dioxide or dry powder may be used.

Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain oxides of carbon and

nitrogen together with hydrogen chloride and hydrogen

fluoride gas.

Protective equipment: Full protective clothing and a self-contained breathing

apparatus should be worn.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Wear suitable protective clothing (see 2.3.1). Ventilate the

area. Collect spill using an industrial vacuum cleaner

taking care to avoid dust formation. Transfer to suitable

containers and dispose of by incineration in accordance with

local regulations. Do not allow spill to enter public drains

or watercourses.

Handling and storage

Handling: Avoid inhalation, ingestion, skin and eye contact.

Protective overalls (PVC or Saranex-coated), gloves

(chemical resistant PVC or nitrile), goggles or faceshield

(conforming to BS 2092), boots (PVC or rubber wellingtons)

and respiratory protection (filtering facepiece respirator

conforming to EN149 type FFP25) should be worn. Wash

thoroughly after handling.

Storage: Store in a well ventilated, cool, dry place in tightly

closed containers.
