Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Symptomatic treatment.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse with  plenty of water and seek medical attention

immediately.

Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with plenty of soap and water.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: In case of ingestion, seek medical attention immediately.

Fire-fighting measures

extinguishing media.

Product arising from burning: Combustion products will be carbon oxides and water.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: A self contained breathing apparatus should be worn.

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery for reuse is not feasible.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: No method of neutralising the hazardous effects is known.

The only possibility currently available is neutralisation

of the organic acid part but it cannot be stated that

neutralisation with base would produce a less hazardous

substance.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not recommended.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: The substance must be disposed of by incineration at a

controlled facility. A temperature in excess of 1200 deg C

is recommended.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended. There is a possibility of separation from

aqueous media because of the poor solubility but for large

quantities this would be impossible.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance and preparations containing it will not enter

the public domain.
