Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: About 10% will pass into effluent but recovery is not
economically feasible.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: may be possible

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Substance can be burned under controlled conditions.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: a) Aerobic procedures : the structure and proposed use make
it unlikely the substance will undergo appreciable
degradation in aerobic processes of short duration. However
much of it may be removed by absorption on sewage sludge
(tests have indicated an average of 72% removed during 5-8
days). It is improbable that it will have an adverse effect
on the aerobic processes used in water purification
installations. b) Anaerobic procedures : the substance
showed no important inhibition of gas production at a
concentration in the sludge of 2.5% of solid matter and the
resulting supernatant liquor had the same colouration as
the control indicating a practically complete
bio-elimination of the dyestuff.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance will only enter the public domain in the form
of dyed articles which can be disposed of as normal waste.
