EC number: 309-870-9 | CAS number: 101316-66-9 A complex combination of hydrocarbons obtained during the sorptions of toluene from a hydrocarbon fraction from cracked gasoline treated with hydrogen in the presence of a catalyst. It consists predominantly of hydrocarbons having carbon numbers predominantly in the range of C6 through C8 and boiling in the range of approximately 80°C to 135°C (176°F to 275°F).

Proprietary studies were available from BASF (2007a, 2007b) for the streams 68477-39-4 (flash point 35ºC at 1013 hPa) and 68467-55-1 (flash point -30ºC at 1013 hPa). These studies were in accordance with a standard guideline and are considered reliable for assessment. The data from these studies will be read across to other members of the category.
RÜTGERS Germany GmbH, Analytisches Zentrallabor (AZL) (2010) and RÜTGERS, Belgium, Dept. Quality & Environment. (2009) provided data for the stream 64742-94-5 (flash point 78ºC to 107ºC at assumed pressure 1013 hPa) via a signed Certificate of Analysis and Company letter, respectively. This data provided details on the methods used and was considered adequate for assessment.
