Additional information

Toxic effects of D-Glucopyranose, oligomeric, undecyl glycoside (CAS 98283-67-1) to soil microorganisms are unlikely to occur. Since the substance is “readily biodegradable” an indirect exposure via deposition of activated sludge to soil can be ruled out. In addition, based on data derived from appropriate read across substances no toxic effects to terrestrial organisms were found in studies with the earthworm Eisenia sp. and terrestrial plants in the highest concentration tested (654 mg/kg). Toxic effects to soil microorganisms are not expected and no test is required. The PNEC for the risk assessment was calculated from the available data.
