Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

A study was performed to determine the effects of Amines, N-tallow alkyltrimethylenedi-, propoxylated

on the reproduction and growth of the earthworm, Eisenia fetida, in an artificial soil under GLP conditions according to OECD 222 (Taylor, 2012).

There was no statistically significant impact on bodyweights following application of Amines, N-tallow alkyltrimethylenedi-, propoxylated at rates up to 1000 mg a.i./kg dry soil. The EC50 for the number of juveniles could not be calculated as there was insufficient evidence of a dose-response relationship but was estimated to be >1000 mg a.i./kg dry soil, with a NOEC of 250 mg a.i./kg dry soil.

The study was considered valid since no mortality was observed in the water control within four weeks of exposure (validity criteria ≥ 10%), and ≥ 30 juveniles (151, 147, 148 and 159 juveniles in replicates 1 to 4 respectively) were produced in each replicate of ten adult worms. The coefficient of variation of reproduction in the water control group was 3.6% (validity criteria ≤ 30%). In addition application of the toxic reference Delsene Flo at 5 mg a.i./kg dry soil resulted in substantial and unequivocal toxic effects
