Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The water solubility of substances with an expected high solubility is normally determined according to flask method described in OECD Guideline 105. To apply this method, the preparation of a saturated solution of test item in water is required. Due to the fact that the solutions of the test item in water are gelatinous and thick it was not possible to prepare a saturated and filterable solution. Therefore a homemade method described in the External method EM/00408/01 from BASF SE (chapter 4: visual method) was applied to investigate complete miscibility.

The test item is miscible with water at room temperature (T = 23 °C) and at T = 20.0 °C ± 0.5 °C in a concentration range of> 44.9 g/L < 98 g/L (corresponds to the sample size 9.84 g/100 g; a densitiy of 1 g/cm3 for water was assumed).

It was not possible to measure the pH in the test solutions/ mixtures.
