No experimental studies investigating the adsorption/desorption potential Decyl 2-ethylhexanoate (CAS 93777-46-9) are available. Therefore, the log Koc was calculated using KOCWIN v2.00 based on the Molecular Connectivity Index (MCI) and the log Kow method. The models have no universally accepted definition of the model domain, but since the substance is within the log Kow range of the training set of the MCI and log Kow model, the results are reliable. The definite values indicate a high adsorption potential, which is also to be expected based on the high log Kow of 7.67. Estimations based on the MCI method resulted in a log Koc value of 4.389 whereas the log Pow method resulted in a slightly higher log Koc of 5.102. The model indicates a high potential for adsorption of Decyl 2-ethylhexanoate.
