Details on results:
A solution of 1g/L was made up, the test sample floated at the top of the solution. It was then sonicated for 2 hours and the solution turned a pale yellow with some of the sample still floating at the top of the solution. A second solution of 1mg/L was made up; the sample remained floating on the surface of the solution. Therefore testing does not need to be conducted.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
Testing for surface tension revealed that the solubility of hop extract, beta acids, potassium salt in water is less than 1 mg per litre. This is entirely as expected - the UVCB substance contains hydrophobic substances.
