Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

To investigate the effects of Glycerides, C8-18 and C18-unsatd. mono- and di-, acetates (CAS No. 91052-13-0) on soil nitrification by soil microorganisms, a GLP study according to OECD Guidelines 216 was performed (Schöbinger, 2013). Nominal concentrations of 100, 178, 316, 562 and 1000 mg/kg soil dw were tested over a time period of 28 days. Compared to the control, no statistically significant effects on nitrogen turnover (measured as NO3 -N level) were observed at any of the test item concentrations 28 days after application. Since no clear dose-response relationship was found, the EC50 was determined to be higher than 1000 mg/kg.

Based on these results, it can be concluded that Glycerides, C8-18 and C18-unsatd. mono- and di-, acetates (CAS No. 91052-13-0) will not cause adverse effects to the nitrogen cycle of the soil at 1000 mg/kg dw soil exposure.
