First-aid measures

Inhalation: Avoid breathing mists of the substance. Remove to fresh air. Consult a physician in case of adverse symptoms.

Skin contact: Wash off with soap and plenty of water. Remove contaminated clothing. Consult a physician. Wash clothing before reuse.

Eye contact: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing.

Ingestion: Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Do not induce vomiting. Consult a physician.

Fire-fighting measures

Use the following extinguishing media when fighting fires involving this material: Alcohol-resistant foam ,Carbon dioxide (CO2), Dry chemical, Water spray.

Accidental release measures

Environmental precautions: The substance is highly toxic for the aquatic environment, prevent from entering into soil, ditches, sewers, waterways and/or ground water.

Methods and materials for containment and cleaning up: Ventilate the area. Floor may be slippery; use care to avoid falling. Contain spills immediately with inert materials (e.g., sand, earth). Transfer liquids and solid diking material to separate suitable containers for recovery or disposal. Avoid breathing mists. CAUTION: Keep spills and cleaning runoff out of municipal sewers and open bodies of water

Handling and storage

Precautions for safe handling: Mists can be evolved when material is heated during processing
operations. Ground all containers when transferring material. Wash after handling and shower at end of work period.

Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities: Avoid temperature extremes during storage; ambient temperature is preferred. Store away from excessive heat (e.g. steampipes, radiators), from sources of ignition and from reactive materials.
Ground all metal containers during storage and handling. Keep tightly closed in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place. Keep away from direct sunlight.

Exposure controls / personal protection

General protective and hygienic measures: Keep away from foodstuffs and beverages. Immediately remove the contaminated clothing. Wash hands before breaks and at the end of work. Avoid contact with the eyes and skin.

Respiratory protection: Not required. If the tasks performed (eg. shaking, heating...) could produce mists of the substance, evaluate the possibility of using a mask with the suitable filters, according to the relevant UNI EN standards.

Protection of hands:
The glove material has to be impermeable and resistant to the product/the substance/the preparation (UNI EN 374).

Eye protection: Tightly sealed goggles.

Body protection: Not required. Use normal work clothes.

Stability and reactivity

Reactivity: strong oxidizing agents, strong acids and basis.
Chemical stability: the substance is stable under normal conditions of use.

Disposal considerations

Incinerate liquid and contaminated solids in accordance with local and national regulations.
