- In accordance with column 2 section 9.1.4. of REACH Annex VIII, the activated sludge respiration inhibition test does not need to be conducted as Eucalyptus oil was considered to be readily biodegradable. The applied test concentration for the major constituent of the mixture (1,8-cineol) is in the range of concentrations that can be expected in the influent of a sewage treatment plant, and no inhibition was observed.
