The dynamic viscosity of the test substance was measured according to OECD 114/ISO 12058-1 guideline, falling ball method. Six determinations were performed at each temperature, and the mean result was retained, respectively 2.456 mPa.s at 20°C, and 1.627 mPa.s at 40°C.

Additional information

A fully reliable experimental study, conducted according to a recognized EC method and under GLP, is available for the crude quality. It is therefore considered as a key study. The result is retained as key data for purpose of CSA.

Litterature data describes the three major components (cineole, limonene and alpha-pinene) as mobile liquids, and no new reaction between components is anticipated (similar qualitative composition, the main difference being the proportion change between cineol and alpha-pinene). Therefore, no significant difference is anticipated for the rectified quality.

According to Regulation (EC) No.1272/2008 criteria, the derived kinematic viscosity at 40°C is below the threshold value of 20.5 mm2/s, therefore the substance as potential for classification with Aspiration Hazard (H304).
