Administrative data

Endpoint:
adsorption / desorption: screening
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the physicochemical properties of the substance indicate that it can be expected to have a low potential for adsorption
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance and its relevant degradation products decompose rapidly
Justification for type of information:
According to Column 2 of Annex VIII this study does not need to be conducted if the substance is expected to have a low potential for adsorption or the substance and its relevant degradation products decompose rapidly. Based on its high water solubility it is expected that the substance has a low potential for adsorption. Furthermore, the yeast extract is readily biodegradable. Therefore, further testing is not warranted.
