Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

First-aid measures

 - General advice: Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Ensure that the First Aid Personnel are aware of the product involved, and take precautions to protect themselves (e.g. wear personal protection equipment).

- Following inhalation: Remove to fresh air.

- Following skin contact: Remove contaminated clothes. Wash with soap and water. If irritation occurs, seek medical advice.

- Following eye contact: Flush eyes with water at least 15 minutes. Get medical attention if eye irritation develops or persists

- Following ingestion: If swallowed, call a poison control centre or doctor immediately. Treat symptomatically.

- Most important symptoms and effects: The substance is classified as skin sensitizer. In case of symptoms appear seek medical advice.

Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed: Treatment: treat symptomatically.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing media

Suitable extinguishing media: product is compatible with standard fire-fighting agents.

Extinguishing media that must not be used for safety reasons: no restrictions.

Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture: in case of fire hazardous decomposition products may be produced such as Carbon oxides, Nitrogen oxides (NOx), Sulphur oxides, hydrogen chloride, hydrogen fluoride.

Advice for firefighters

Special protective equipment for firefighting: wear full protective suit and self-contained breathing apparatus.

Further information: cool container and metallic parts with a water spray jet.

Accidental release measures

- Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures:

Ensure adequate ventilation.
Wear suitable protective equipment.
Keep away sources of ignition.

- Environmental precautions:

Collect contaminated fire extinguishing water separately. This must not be discharged into drains.
The product should not be allowed to enter drains, water courses or the soil.

- Methods and material for containment and cleaning up:

Take up mechanically and dispose of. Rinse away rest with water.
After processing, clean all equipment with water.

- Additional information

Do not empty into drains.
Do not dispose of waste into sewer.
Take up as such and consider recycling.
Combustible Solids

Handling and storage

- Precautions for safe handling:

Advice on safe handling: when used and handled appropriately no special measures are needed.

Hygiene measures: Wash hands before breaks and at the end of workday.
Use protective skin cream before handling the product.
Take off immediately all contaminated clothing and wash it before reuse.
Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product.
Observe the usual precautions for handling chemicals.

- Advice on protection against fire and explosion:

Keep away sources of ignition.
Take precautionary measures against build-up of electrostatic charges, e.g earthing during loading and off-loading operations.
Observe the general rules of industrial fire protection

- Requirements for storage areas and containers
Keep only in the original container.
Advice on storage compatibility
Avoid storage near incompatibile agents.
Do not store or transport together with foodstuffs.

- Further information on storage conditions
Keep containers tightly closed in a cool, well-ventilated place.
Handle and open container with care.
Keep away sources of ignition.

Exposure controls / personal protection

- Control parameters

Exposure limit values: exposure limit values are not available.

- Exposure controls

Appropriate engineering controls: Local ventilation recommended - mechanical ventilation may be used

General protective measures:

Observe the usual precautions for handling chemicals.
Ensure that eyewash stations and safety showers are close to the workstation location.
Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
Respiratory protection : Local ventilation to keep levels below established threshold values is recommended. In case of prolonged exposure to
airborne dust concentrations, a suitable particle filter mask that complies with the requirements of national legislation is recommended, depending on the expected exposure levels.
Hand protection : Chemical resistant gloves.
Take note of the information given by the producer concerning permeability and break through times, and of special workplace conditions (mechanical strain, duration of contact).
Eye protection : Depending on the risk, wear sufficient eye protection (safety glasses with side protection or goggles, and if necessary, face
shield.)
Body protection : Wear suitable protective clothing.

Stability and reactivity

Reactivity: see "Possibility of hazardous reactions" below.

Chemical stability: stable under normal conditions.

Possibility of hazardous reactions: risk of dust explosion. No dangerous reaction known under conditions of normal use. Stable.

Conditions to avoid: Keep away from heat. Keep away from open flames, hot surfaces and sources of ignition.

Incompatible materials: none known.

Hazardous decomposition products: when handled and stored appropriately, no dangerous decomposition products are known.

Disposal considerations

Product: Incineration in an approved, controlled furnace with combustion gas scrubbing and emission gas control. Observe national and local legal requirements
Uncleaned packaging: Consider recycling.
Composition: C ; Cl; Cu ; F; H; N ; Na; O; S
