The partition coefficient of the test material was investigated in accordance with the standardised guidelines OECD 117 and EU Method A.8 using the HPLC method under GLP conditions. The study was assigned a reliability score of 1 in accordance with the criteria for assessing data quality set forth by Klimisch et al. (1997).

Solutions of seven reference materials and the test material were prepared in acetonitrile and water and analysed by HPLC in three series, with two parallel injections each. The retention times were determined. The three calibration series and three test material series were measured alternately. For the determination of dead time thiourea solution was injected three times. The capacity factors, k, were calculated from the retention times of the selected reference materials and the dead time. The regression coefficients were determined by linear regression calculation, using the least squares method. The log Pow value of the test material was calculated, using these regression coefficients and the capacity factor of the test material

The retention time of the test material was 1.39 minutes. The test material was eluted before the first standard, therefore an accurate value of log Pow could not be given.

Under the conditions of this study, the calculated log Pow was therefore less than 1.
