Description of key information

In a study according to OECD 301 B, the test item is considered to be readily biodegradable, since it fulfilled the pass level for ready biodegradability that is (according to the test guidelines) the removal of 60 % ThCO2 in a 10 -day window.

All of the obtained biodegradability results were confirmed by DOC analysis of test item containing test mixtures and controls taken at the start and end of the test. According to the test guidelines followed, the test item can be assumed to not inhibit the activated sludge microorganisms, because the degradation in the toxicity control group was higher than 25 % within 14 days.

The ready biodegradation of the reference item confirms the suitability of the used activated sludge inoculum.
