Description of key information

Two experimental studies for the determination of the viscosity using a rolling ball viscosimeter were conducted with two different batches of the substance.
Batch I23-090312: viscosity = 1.2549 mPa.s at 20°C and 0.9302 mPa.s at 40°C
Batch 129958: viscosity = 2.6089 mPa.s at 20°C and 1.6502 mPa.s at 40°C

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Viscosity:
1.932 mPa · s (dynamic)
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

The test to determine the dynamic viscosity of the substance was conducted on two different batches in compliance with the OECD guideline 114 and EN ISO 12058 -1standard.

The viscosity was determined at 20°C and at 40°C using a rolling ball viscosimeter.

The following viscosity values were calculated as the mean values of three individual measurements:

- Batch I23-090312: 1.2549 +/-0.0031 mPa.s at 20.0°C +/-0.1°C and 0.9302 +/-0.0020 mPa.s at 40.0°C +/- 0.1°C

- Batch 129958 : 2.6089 +/-0.0102 mPa.s at 20.0°C +/-0.1°C and 1.6502 +/-0.0083 mPa.s at 40.0°C +/- 0.1°C

Good correlation was given in both determinations (relative standard deviation was 0.25% at 20°C and 0.21% at 40°C for batch I23-090312 and

0.39% at 20°C and 0.50% at 40°C for batch 129958).

No observations arousing doubts concerning the accuracy of the results and the validity of the study were made. Therefore, the result was considered as reliable without restriction.

For the purpose of the endpoint summary, the retained key value is the arithmetic mean of the 2 values for the dynamic viscosity at 20°C, i.e. 1.9319 mPa.s
